The purpose of this website is to provide information on the Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save Act of 2009, also popularly known as the Cash for Clunker law.  The information here is intended to compliment, not replace the official government site. Because this site is independent of any government affiliation, it can freely offer opinions and information that help consumers interpret the CARS program.
